James Frank Schwartz

James Frank Schwartz, age 70, of Sebewaing, passed away August 3, 2018, at his home.

James was born May 19, 1948, in Fairhaven Township, Michigan, to Joseph and Ruth (Avery) Schwartz. He worked for Tower Automotive in Elkton for over 45 years. He also enjoyed his time working at the Thumb Fish Company where he visited with many friends. In his earlier years he liked to hunt, fish trap, and enjoyed visiting the casino.

James is survived by his two daughters: Jessica (friend Troy Strieter) Schwartz of Sebewaing and Jennifer (Andre) Edwards of Frankfort, Illinois; three grandchildren: Aiden, Adalyn and Brynn Edwards; mother, Ruth Schwartz; siblings: Wayne (Tammy) Schwartz, Mary (Ron) Graves, JoAnn (Roger) Parsell, and Joseph (Wendy) Schwartz; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his family and friends who visited him over the years and for Rev. Reed for his visits and prayers.

James is preceded in death by his father, Joseph, and brother, Gerald (survived by wife Elaine) Schwartz.

Per James' wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for Monday, August 6, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Brad Haist will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
