James W. Young

James W. Young age 76 of Pigeon died Thursday morning, June 26, at Scheurer Hospital following a long illness.
He was born July 27, 1931 at the home of his parents, the late William and Luella (Ewald) Young.
After graduating from Pigeon High School, Jim worked on the family farm for a while. In his mid twenties in moved to the Detroit area and became an insurance agent, retiring from Family Life Insurance Company in 1996. In 1998, he moved back to Huron County for health reasons and to be near family.
Surviving is his brother-in-law, Robert Wichert of Sand Point and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his sister, Shirley Wichert.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted 12:30 PM Friday, July 11, at the Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
