Jamie Marie Champagne, 36, of Bad Axe, formerly of Elkton lost her courageous battle with mental health on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her home.
Jamie was born March 23, 1985 in Bad Axe to James C. and Peggy (Thompson) Champagne. She graduated from Laker High School in 2003. She worked at Scheurer Hospital as a Physical Therapy Assistant before taking a medical leave of absence. She loved “her kids,” being the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was devoted to caring for her beloved Cockapoo Remington.
She is survived by her parents James and Peggy Champagne of Elkton; sisters Kelly (Brian) Kube of Bad Axe and Michelle (Peter) McArdle of Elkton; nieces and nephews Haley (goddaughter), Erin, James, Zachary, Baron, and Katelyn.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, November 12th at the Elkton United Methodist Church with Rev. Won Kim officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
Jamie would like memorials in her memory to be directed to a mental health advocacy charity.
