Jamie Hecht

Jamie Lee Hecht of Otisville, formerly of Caro, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the age of 37. He was born July 3, 1975 in Caro, the son of Kenneth and Betty (Churchill) Hecht. Jamie was a 1994 graduate of Caro High School where he enjoyed playing football and graduated as District Champions. On May 20, 2000, he was united in marriage with the former Jennifer Papp in Caro. Jamie was employed as a Journeyman Tree Trimmer with Kappen Tree Service since 2005 and was a member of IBEW Local #17 of Southfield. He was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville, a member of the Caro Knights of Columbus Council #3224, and enjoyed spending time with his children and family, camping, hunting, fishing, and Michigan Football. Jamie is survived by his wife, Jennifer; two children, Nathan and Samantha, both at home; his parents, Kenneth & Betty Hecht of Caro; two brothers and one sister, Jay D. Hecht of Fairgrove, Troy & Amy Hecht of Vassar, Shannon Hecht of Caro; a sister-in-law, Kimberly Arnold of Caro; his mother- and father-in-law, Mary Ann & John Papp; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin, and one nephew, Jason, both in 1985. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will conclude at 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service led by the Caro Knights of Columbus Council #3224.
