Jane Irene Pawlowski

Jane Irene Pawlowski, 74, of Elkton, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Pigeon.

Jane was born January 19, 1944 in Oliver Twp to the late Tino and Anita (Torres) Benitez.  She graduated from Laker High School in 1962.  She married Burton William Pawlowski Jr. on September 13, 1969 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Pigeon; he preceded her in death August 13, 2011.

She worked as a beautician and caregiver for many local seniors.  She volunteered at Elkton Elementary School, helping students who needed more attention.  She enjoyed puzzles, games, BINGO, Sudoku, outdoors, garage sales and casinos.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Al) Kuhn of Pigeon; grandchildren Collin and Peyton; brothers Tino and Mance (Connie) Benitez, both of Cass City; brothers-in-law Tim, Mike and Greg of Arizona; sisters-in-law Madeline Ulfig of Arizona and Julie Chritien of Canada; and best friend Sandy Tyler of Elkton; an aunt, nieces, nephews and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her sister Maggie Ferris.

A funeral mass will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 25 ^th at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church/OLPH in Pigeon with Fr. Robert Pare presiding.  Urn interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton and one hour prior to mass on Wednesday in church. There will be a rosary at 7:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family.
