Jane Mildred Pobanz

Jane M. Pobanz, 75, of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.

Jane was born November 20, 1947 in Pigeon to the late Merlin and Mildred (Heiman) Damm. She graduated from Laker High School in 1965. On December 28, 1965 she married Clifford Pobanz at the Kilmanagh E.U.B. Church, she passed away on their 57th anniversary.

Jane loved baking and was known for her delicious Christmas cookies and candies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her “Golden Girl Classmates.”

Jane is survived by her husband Clifford; sons Scott (Vicky) of Pigeon and Chad (Catrina Weber) of Bay City; daughter-in-law Rhonda of Bay City; grandchildren Michael (Abby), Nathan, Lindsey (Brandon), and Olivia; and sister Janet Henne of Bay Port. She was preceded in death by her sister Jill Anderson and step-father Walter Rosenthal.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, January 2nd at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Albert Barchue officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon to 6:00pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
