Jane Lee Stapleton

Jane Lee Stapleton, 63, of Gagetown passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro.

Jane was born September 12, 1958 in Cass City to the late LeRoy and Eleanor (Fournier) Stapleton. She graduated from Owen-Gage High School in 1977 and Saginaw Valley State College in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She worked at the Cass City McDonald’s and at the Gagetown Post Office as a Postmaster Relief Clerk until 2015.

Jane enjoyed crafts, especially knitting, crocheting and sewing mittens and scarfs, cooking and baking, keeping a beautiful home and learning about history, both local and world. She loved playing music on the organ and clarinet, and listening to music from the Big Band Era to the 1970's. Much of her life was spent caring for other people, from elderly family to her parents and her little brother James, demonstrating her golden heart.

She is survived by her brother James Stapleton of Gagetown. James would like to thank the staff at Tuscola County Medical Care Community for their compassionate care and kindness throughout her entire stay.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Monday, November 8th at St. Agatha Cemetery in Gagetown. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
