Janet Allen

Janet R. Allen, age, 68, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, following a lingering illness. She was born May 23, 1942 in Caro, the daughter of the late Burdette H. & Ruth E. (Coler) Butcher. Janet grew up in Fairgrove on the family farm, graduating from Fairgrove High School in 1959. She was united in marriage with Richard D. Allen on October 23, 1960 in Caro. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2009. Janet worked for a variety of agencies during her working years, including the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro as a nurses aide, the State Savings Bank as a teller and branch manager for over twelve years, and Michigan Works in Caro and Marlette. Janet was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church and was always interested in keeping in touch with her family and friends. Surviving Janet are two sons and their spouses, David & Charlyn Allen of Mayville, Brian & Christa Allen of Saginaw; five grandchildren, Amanda, Brad, Addison, Mikayla, Amaya Allen; one brother, one sister and their spouses, Charles & Mary Butcher, Cristie & Patrick Rahn, all of Caro, and many nieces and nephews.
