Janet Mary Galler

Janet M. Galler, 80 of Caseville, passed away March 7, 2022 at home under hospice care.

Janet was born December 10, 1941 in Detroit to the late Thomas and Jeanette (Sadowski) Pentecost. She graduated in 1959 from McKenzie High School in Detroit. On May 19, 1962 she married Kenneth Galler at Epiphany Catholic Church in Detroit; he preceded her in death January 12, 2010.

Janet ran a daycare out of her home for 30 years. After retiring she moved from Sterling Heights to Caseville. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Scenic Golf Course, Caseville Eagles Auxiliary and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Janet is survived by her five daughters: Janice (John) Finkele of Macomb Township, Debra (Alex) Cagigal of Rochester Hills, Deane (Dennis) Spencer of Shelby Township, Cynthia (fiancé Dave) of Lake Orion, and Keri (Brandon) Myers of Romeo; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Pentecost and grandson Ty.

A funeral mass will be 10:00am Saturday, March 12th at St. Roch Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
