Janet Mary Smith

Janet Mary Smith of Caro, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Janet was born at her home in Ellington Twp., March 1, 1938, the daughter of the late Helen Lillian Smith. She attended school and went on to become a caregiver to generations of children. Janet adored the children she took care of; they were the lights of her life. She loved to bargain shop, go to garage sales, and was a Relay for Life participant for many years. Janet was a very kind, selfless, and loving person. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed and wasn't afraid to go without if she could help in any way. Janet's caring, beautiful soul will be missed by many. Janet leaves to cherish her memory, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her mother, Janet was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, Gerald R. Smith. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Reverend Michele Hile officiating. Janet's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
