Janice E. Gaeth
Janice E. Gaeth, age 66, of Gagetown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 29, 2012.
Janice was born January 28, 1946 to George and Norma (Borchardt) Cooper in Detroit, Michigan. She married Donald Gaeth May 4, 1968 at New Salem Lutheran Church, Pastor W.C. Voss, in Sebewaing. Shortly after their marriage, Janice was baptized and confirmed into the church.
Janice worked as the secretary at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing for over 28 years. She also worked as the kindergarten helper at the New Salem Lutheran School for many years. She also enjoyed decorating cakes, sketching, and doing art project with the school children.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband Donald Gaeth of Gagetown; her loving daughter, Kristin (Devin) Youngman of California; sister-in-law, Libby Cooper of Arizona, sister-in-law Myrtle (Garrett) Jackson of Sebewaing; her dearest friend Peggy Ogg; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Matthew Gaeth; and brother, Doug Cooper.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 12noon – 8pm.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at New Salem Lutheran church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30am until the time of service at 11am.
The burial will be at New Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be made to New Salem Lutheran Church & School or Pregnancy Counseling Center in Saginaw.
