Janice Marie Reed

Janice Marie Reed (Osborn), 68, of Caro passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Janice was born on March 29, 1957, in Caro, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Mary (Mixter) Osborn, and was a 1975 graduate of Caro High School. She worked for Plastech Engineered Products in Caro until its closing in 2008. In her free time, Janice loved dirt car and NASCAR races and playing Bingo, helping run Bingo events at the VFW. She loved nature, especially watching birds and deer, but most important to her was her family. She cherished her time with her loved ones, babysitting her grandkids and great grandkids, and relished every chance she had to be with her family. Janice spoke her mind and always told you how it was but was a loving and caring woman who is deeply missed by her family.

Janice is survived by sons, James Burnham, William Burnham, and Tom (Jody Garbacz) Burnham; grandchildren, Ricki (Craig) Gorkowski, Samantha (Michael) Frazee, Zackary Blogg, Kaylin Campbell, and Gracie Blogg; great grandchildren, Ryan Gorkowski and Audry Gorkowski; brother, Timothy Osborn; and significant other, Tim Armstrong; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, friends, and her beloved dog Buddy.

Janice was preceded in death by husband Duke Reed; son, Jeffery Allen Burnham; and brother, Allen “Bo” Osborn.

A funeral service for Janice will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Ransford Funeral Home – Caro, 205 W. Sherman St, Caro, MI. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation is to follow. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family, c/o/ Tom Burnham.
