Jason William Ewald of Caro, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at his home. Jason was born November 8, 1971 in Caro, the son of William "Bill" and Linda (Weeks) Ewald. He graduated from Caro High School. In 1993, Jason happened to meet his soulmate, the former Nancy Marshall. It was love at first sight and they were united in marriage on July 19, 1997. Together they shared nearly thirty years and countless laughs and memories. Jason was employed at Greenia Custom Woodworking where he built kitchen cabinets and sprayed finishes on them for nearly thirty years. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. Jason was a jack of all trades and though he would never say it, he was a fantastic artist and always had to make sure whatever he was working on was perfect. He took his childhood passion of taking things apart to see how they worked and transitioned into building his own guns from scratch. Jason also enjoyed target shooting and collecting vintage firearms. He loved to play golf, watch the Detroit Lions, was always up for a game of ping pong or cornhole, and liked to play cards with family and friends. Jason was best known for his late-night inspirational talks and never turned down a Captain & Coke. He always had the best advice and was willing to help out and step in, even if you didn't ask him to. Jason had a heart of gold and was the best husband, dad, papa, son, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly. Jason leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Nancy Ewald; children, Nikki (Kenyata) Ewald, Ashley (Isaac Newton) Ewald, and Errin (Destiny Gregory) Ewald; grandchildren, Zandar Ewald, Arya Ewald, Zayne Ewald, and Emmett Ewald; parents, William and Linda Ewald; siblings, Chris (Barb Bennett) Ewald and Carrie Ewald; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred & Joy Ewald, and Harold & Shirley Weeks; sister, Kimberly Ewald; and a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Marshall.
