Christmas should have been a joyous day for our family to celebrate, but instead, we suffered a terrible loss that most will never be able to fully understand. Our baby, Jason Doyle McAlloon, born August 5, 2014, was just twenty weeks old when he was devastatingly taken from this world. There are no words to describe such an inconceivable loss that happened in the quiet death of our beautiful baby boy. Losing our child is a heart-breaking tragedy that has soaked deep into our bones and will stay with us for the rest of our lives; it never truly goes away and leaves our hearts heavy and incomplete. Baby Jason leaves behind his loving parents, John Thomas-Roy & Michelle Lynn (Logue) McAlloon of Vassar; his big brother, John Shawn, and big sister, Alisha; maternal grandmother, Jean Logue of Caro; paternal grandparents, Wayne & Leslie McAlloon of Australia; paternal grandmother, Rose McAlloon of Australia; maternal great-grandfather, Mathew Fritz of Elkton; paternal great-grandmother, Eleanor Kreuger of Caro; aunts and uncles, Jim Grannell of Pigeon, Shawn Grannell of Ann Arbor, Kelly Albin of Caro, Matthew McAlloon of Australia, Tracey McAlloon of Australia, James McAlloon of Grand Rapids, Tara McAlloon of Australia, Ashley McAlloon of Australia; and many cousins, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Watrousville United Methodist Church with Rev. William Sanders officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the McAlloon Family Discretionary Fund.
