Jay C. Richmond age 21, of Pigeon died early Wednesday evening, February 12, at his cousins home in Millington following a ruptured brain aneurysm. He was born June 28, 1992 in Pigeon to James and Bonnie (Keller) Richmond and grew up near Pigeon. Jay was a 2011 Laker graduate and worked on the family farm until recently. He had just completed extensive training with AmCom Telecommunications and had started his new career just last week and was staying with his cousin, Danny Gasper near Millington.Jay played football, from grade school all through high school and excelled at the sport. He was an avid football fan. He was also an active hunter, including Whitetail, rabbits and other small game, he loved being out in the woods. Jay also very much enjoyed 4 wheeling with his brother Jimmy. He liked to be at home with his family, just hanging out or playing video games with his "little sister" Joanna.Surviving are his father, James (Sandy) Richmond of Bay Port; his mother, Bonnie (fiancé, Steve Ewald) of Pigeon; siblings, Jimmy (Amy) Richmond of Elkton, Jennifer Richmond of Pigeon, Julianne (fiancé, Chris Gonzales) Richmond of Caseville, Joanna Richmond of Pigeon, Nicholas and Courtney DeWyse of Bay Port and Connor Ewald of Elkton; grandmothers, Evelyn Richmond of Bay Port and Dottie Keller of Caseville; special cousin, Danny Gasper; many aunts, uncles and cousins; God parents, Dean Deering, Brenda Deering, Mike and Cathy McClelland. There are no words to describe how deeply missed he will be by his family and many friends.Preceding him in death were grandparents, Edward and Bonnie Keller and John C. Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, February 17, at his church, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Linkville. Rev. Lee Wenskay, pastor will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 5 to 8 PM Saturday, 2 to 8 PM Sunday and at the church after 10 AM Monday. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Building Fund or the donor’s choice.
