Jay Rivest

Jay Rivest, age 28 years of Cass City, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, due to a lifelong illness. He was born on June 9, 1978 in Wayne, Michigan. He was a graduate of Romulus High School and lived in the Detroit area until 2001 when he moved to Caro and on to Cass City. Jay loved motorcycles, girls, and was an artist. He enjoyed his family; especially his little brother, Edward. While a resident at Tendercare, Jay put many of his drawings on the Butterfly Wing. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Rebecca Rivest of Deford; his siblings, Robert Rivest of Taylor, Chris and Trinity Rivest of Florida, Timothy Rivest of Taylor, Mary Rivest of Deford and Edward Rivest of Deford; his grandparents, Eugene and Geraldine Rivest of Bay Port; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Treva Rivest, he was preceded in death by the remainder of his grandparents. The funeral will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Bostwick officiating. Cremation will follow the Service. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Jay Rivest family discretionary fund, c/o Robert Rivest.
