Jay Ward Ii

James "Jay" Lee Ward II of Caro, age 46, passed away Friday, May 8, 2016 in Flint. Jay was born August 30, 1969 in Kalamazoo, the son of James "Jim" Ward and the late Sheryl (Ewald) Ward. He was a graduate of Mattawan High School and worked as a machinist. Jay is remembered by his daughter, Kayla Gates of Bernie, Missouri; father, James "Jim" Ward and Jan Adams of Boyne City; one sister and her husband, Michele & Jerry Ringle of Riverdale; grandmother, Emma Ewald; aunts and uncles, Kay & Bill Jordan of Bay City, June Ward of Clearwater, Florida, Robert & Mary Jo Ward of Caro; two cousins, Katherine Montei & Kyle Manke of Oxford, Charles & Carolyn Montei of Lansing; and many cousins and their extended families. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Ewald and Fredrick & Marie Ward. In accordance with the family's wishes, Jay has been cremated and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
