Jean Donaldson

Jean Donaldson of Caro, age 100, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Jean was born December 20, 1921 in Unionville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Gostick) Harris. She was a hard worker, ran a restaurant, and was a truck driver. Jean enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, and fishing. She was a member of the Deford Community Church. She is survived by one daughter, Judith Westerby of Kingston; six grandchildren, Christine Westerby (Randy Izydorek), Carolynn Westerby, Kimberly Birdsall, Rain Morningshadow, Connie & Darren Ross, Michael & Bobbie Westerby; sixteen great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Travis, Abby, Jennifer, Brian, Christopher, Arianna, Alyssa, Adam, Eric, Braden, Kylie, Colton, Sawyer, Hunter, and Willow; and twelve great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Leonard Donaldson, Jean was preceded in death by three sons, Robert F. Hodges, James L. Hodges, and David Orban; two grandsons, James Hodges and Edward Orban; son-in-law, Robert Westerby; two daughters-in-law, Ruth Bowen and Diann Orban; one great-great-granddaughter, Margo Kirk. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be at Almer Township Cemetery at a later date.
