Jean Ann (Kleinfeld) Myers, of Sebewaing, peacefully went to her home in heaven on May 21, 2020.
Jean was born April 19, 1929 to John and Marion Kleinfeld of Bay Port Michigan. Jean was the third of eight children. She graduated from Bay Port High School. She then met and married James C. Myers on Dec. 5, 1948 of 57 years. Together, they built and established a loving home and family in Sebewaing, Michigan, where they enjoyed many happy memories that were shared with the community throughout their lives.
Jean became a loving mother of three, grandmother, and great grandmother her life never stopped from then on. Her kitchen was always busy with the wonderful aromas of fresh bread and cinnamon rolls. All the local children would stop in for a homemade Popsicle from the "Popsicle Lady". Never the less, she always made sure she had her "Face On" and was ready to go. Whether it was going to a sporting event to sit in the front row to cheer on her grandkids, driving all over the thumb area to visit friends, or playing cards with friends and family, Jean did not stop.
She was employed at Caro Regional Center for 23 years. There she enjoyed her job and made many lifelong friends over the years.
She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Sebewaing, Michigan. She was also dubbed with the nickname "The Pie lady" from all the hours of hard work making pies with her sisters for the Methodist Church of Akron MI.
Jean was a very creative person, she and her sisters made many quilts and blankets over the years to make sure her family and friends were always warm. She hosted with elegance some of the best entertained bridge and euchre parties and taught her grandchildren how to raise chickens and fish while they were little, which they always looked forward too. If you were lucky enough to catch her in-between her busy activities, one of her favorite past times was sitting at the piano and creating beautiful music.
Jean is survived by her sister Joan Jahr; son Scott Myers, daughter Crystal (Neil) Gaeth; her seven grandchildren Paul (Shelley) Schulz, Craig (Julie) Schulz, Trevor (Kecia) Myers, Alison Marzen (Myers-Baldonado), Jonathan (Ashley) Gaeth, Staci (John) Gaeth, and Jordan Gaeth; seven great grandchildren Tyrese Beedle, Cole, Ava Grace, and Leah Schulz, Allie and Madison Gaeth, and Rowan Myers; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband James C. Myers, daughter Peggy Lee Schulz, son in law Gary Schulz, and daughter in law Tari Myers, her parents John and Marion Kleinfeld, mother and father in laws Alice and Elmer Myers and George Fauser. Her siblings Charlotte Brenner, Eunice Jones, John Kleinfeld, Theo Frent, Kathleen Schulz, and Margaret Yack.
Jean's family would like to thank the staff at New Hope Bay for their tender loving care.
Due to Covid-19, at private service will be held Monday, May 25, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to Crystal Gaeth for the great grandchildren for education use.
