Jeanette Orzel

Jeanette Orzel of Unionville, age 80, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Jeanette was born June 29, 1939 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late George & June (Wallon) Sharp and graduated from Unionville High School with the class of 1948. She was united in marriage with Thomas Orzel on March 7, 1964 in Gagetown and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2014. Jeanette was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Sebewaing where she sang in the choir, and later joined St. Christopher Parish in Caro. In her healthier years, she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her grandson, Nathan. Jeanette was always available for her children and was constantly present at their activities growing up. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Edward Orzel and his wife, Wendy, of Sebewaing, Tammy Wascher of Bay City, Mark Orzel and his special friend, Sharon Donovan, of Unionville; one grandson and his wife, Nathan & Karlee Wascher of Marquette; an "adopted" granddaughter and her husband, Ashley & Joe Homrocky of Sebewaing; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Victor & Gerry Orzel of Caro, Joan & Dave Cowell of Marquette. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church, in Caro with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the church will be requiring the use of face masks for those in attendance. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church, in Caro or the Tuscola County Medical Care Community.
