Jeanine Tait

Jeanine Tait, 90, of Caseville, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Jeanine was born March 19, 1930 in Bad Axe to the late John and Leta (Dufty) Osborne. She graduated from Elkton High School. She married Bernard “Bud” Tait on November 26, 1949 at St. Felix Catholic Church in Pinnebog; he preceded her in death October 9, 2011.

She worked for the Progress Advance Newspaper before beginning a career at the Caseville Post Office, retiring as Postmaster in 1989.

She is survived by her daughters Diana (Marty) Davenport of Schoolcraft, John (Kay) Tait of Caseville and Tim (Coiene) Tait of Akron; grandchildren Jed (Kristen) Tait and Jolene (Bryan) Rohr; great-grandchildren Austin, Landon, Bryce, Henry, Benjamin and Kashton. She was preceded in death by her son Tom.

Private funeral services will take place. Interment will be in St. Felix Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
