Jeannette Marie Mclaren

Jeannette M. McLaren, 91, of Unionville, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.

Jeannette was born January 1, 1931 in Akron Twp to the late Leon and Stella (Hellebuyck) VanSteenhouse. She graduated from Unionville High School. She married Kenneth McLaren November 5, 1949 at the Unionville Moravian Church; he preceded her in death March 26, 2016. Jeannette enjoyed sports and the outdoors, especially bowling, golfing, gardening, and fishing.

Jeannette is survived by her children Michael (Glenna) of Unionville, Patricia Littleton of Akron and Brian (Jennifer) of Owendale; grandchildren Scott, Michelle, Timothy, Jason, Kenneth, Justin, Joshua, and Megan; great-grandchildren Ben, Nate, Brendan, Zachary, Becca, Amber, Colby, Molly, Morgan, Addie, Elise, Washington, Everett, Callie, Emeline, and William; sisters Dorothy VanSteenhouse of Florida and Joyce Bohn of Unionville and brother Larry (Victoria) VanSteenhouse. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jeremy Littleton, sister Martha Hyzer, brother Robert VanSteenhouse and son-in-law Harold Littleton.

A memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday, February 19th at Unionville Moravian Church with her grandson Rev. Joshua McLaren officiating. Friends and family can begin visiting at 10:00am Saturday at church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
