Jeffery Williams

Jeffery V. Williams of Lansing, age 40, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home, following a long battle with cancer. Jeffery was born April 19, 1975 in Bay City, the son of the late Dale and Joyce (McLoud) Williams. He was united in marriage with the former Maria Grifka on September 18, 1999, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Francis Park in Lansing, and she survives him. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and a huge animal lover. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping at Round Lake in Mecosta, and riding his four wheeler, along with anything else that went fast. Jeff is survived by his wife, Maria Williams; sister, Kim & Kevin Masker of Vassar; brother, Dale, Jr. and Diana Williams of Troy, and their children, Connor, Kaghlie and Logan; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Joseph Grifka of Caro, Sheila Polzin of Atlanta, Georgia, and her children, McKenzie and Grace Polzin, Michael & Mandy Grifka of Saginaw, and their children, Abigail, Emily and Olivia Grifka, and Theresa Grifka of Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, James and Elaine Grifka; and a brother-in-law, Gregory Polzin of Atlanta, Georgia. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart site in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Rosary service on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
