Jeffrey Allen Letson

Jeffrey Allen Letson of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Caro, age 50, passed away on March 28, 2014 at Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson, Arizona. He was born November 10, 1963 in Saginaw and was a 1981 graduate of Caro High School. Following graduation at 17 years of age, Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Independence. He was united in marriage with the former Jeanette Pastor on October 4, 1986 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. After moving to Tucson in 2002, he opened Fountain of Youth Assisted Living. Jeff loved books, metal detecting, photography, and his current passion was working with leather. He created Letson Holsters, making custom leather-crafted holsters sold worldwide. Jeff is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Jeanette Letson of Tucson, Arizona; one daughter, Amanda Katherine Letson of Tucson, Arizona; his parents, Clyde & Janet Letson of Caro, Patricia & Jim Cardinel of Cookeville, Tennessee; one sister, Lisa & Rob Beatty of Cookeville, Tennessee; two step-brothers, Jeff & Tracy Lince of Caro, Joe Lince of Flint; his in-laws, Don & Alicia Majask of Caro, Dennis & Anita Pastor of North Branch; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jackie Parkinson of Burlington, Wisconsin, Diana Pastor of Caro, Marc & Sue Summersett of Tucson, Arizona, Jeff & Patty O'Dell of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William & Katherine Eyers and Clyde & Alberta Letson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at Novesta Township Cemetery in Cass City with military honors afforded by the Cass City VFW Post #3644 and the U.S. Navy.
