Jeffrey Charles Shippey

Jeffrey C. Shippey, 47, of Cass City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Jeff was born June 14, 1973 in Saginaw and grew up in Saginaw and Bay Port. He graduated from high school in Oklahoma. He married Heidi Vatter on July 8, 2012 in Huron City. He worked for Millerwise Construction in Sebewaing. He loved the outdoors, especially spending time with his children hunting, fishing and trapping.

Jeff is survived by his wife Heidi; children Buzz Kinney, Chance Shippey, Dalton Shippey, Elizabeth McCormick and Cadin Shippey; mother Sharon (Rodney) Shivley of Bay Port; brothers Michael (Cindy) Shivley of Gagetown, Paul Shippey of Bay Port, Frank (Jackie) Shivley of Pigeon, John Shivley of Bay Port and Benjamin Shivley of Bay Port; aunts Marjorie and Mildred; and best friend Billy Bryan

He was preceded in death by his brothers Nicki Shivley and Joshua Hatlak and niece Trinity Star.

A memorial service will be 1:00pm Monday, June 14th (his 48th birthday) at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon. Visitation will begin at 11:00am and continue until the time of the service.
