Jennie Stevens

Jennie Stevens, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Select Speciality Hospital in Saginaw. The former Giovannina Bonacci was born on June 12, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of the late John and Dominica (Natalli) Bonacci. On March 31, 1947 she was united in marriage with Louis Stevens in Detroit. Jennie was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic faith. The Stevens moved from Detroit to Caro in 2003 by way of Las Vegas. She enjoyed Bingo at the K of C Hall, cooking for her family and neighbors, and ceramic dolls. Jennie enjoyed her longtime dog, Chico. Jennie is survived by her husband, Louis; one daughter and her spouse, Stephanie & Rodger Harrah of Caro; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Auch of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by a son, Chris Stevens, and the remainder of her siblings. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Chris Taylor officiating. Following cremation, interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
