Jerome W. Huizar

Jerome W. Huizar of Caro, age 61, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw, Jerome was born February 19, 1954 in Akron, the son of the late Antonio and Geronimo (Martinez) Huizar. Jerome was united in marriage with the former Holly Garcia on July 12, 2002 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. He was employed at Cass Valley Enterprises, Personal Independence Center and Taco Bell in Caro. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to country and Mexican music. In addition to his wife, Holly, Jerome is survived by two brothers, one sister and their spouses, Vincent & Marjorie Huizar, Erminia & Daniel J. Monville, Sr., Tony Huizar; sister-in-law, Jane Huizar; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his loving mother and father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Huizar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Campus in Caro with Rev. Jose Maria Cabrera officiating. Burial will follow at Demorest Cemetery in Akron. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
