Jerry Kern

Jerry Lee Kern, age 54 years, of French Rd., Unionville, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on May 5, 1951, in Saginaw. Jerry was a Caro High School graduate and served in the U. S. Army during the 1980s as a Motor Pool Sergeant, 257th Medical Detail at Ft. Jackson, S.C. He was employed as a bus driver with the Tuscola County Intermediate School District. Jerry was handy with his hands and liked to tinker and work on cars. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Jerome Scott of Saginaw, and Candy and Scott Wright of Caro; seven grandsons, A.J., Bryce, Bram, Casey, Juan, Devin and Jerome, Jr.; and his special friend, Karen Maxwell. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bertwin and Ruth Kern. The funeral service will be held: AT: Collon Funeral Home ON: Thursday, August 25, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. WITH: Ken Spencer, Elder of Caro Church of Christ, officiating Cremation has taken place. Military Honors will be afforded by Theron W. Atwood, Sr. American Legion Post #7 of Caro, following the memorial service. Visitation will be: AT: Collon Funeral Home ON: Thursday, August 25, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kern Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Candy Wright.
