Jimmy K. Pratt age 68 of Drummond Island formerly of Elkton, died Wednesday, February 2, at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.
He was born August 8, 1942 in St. Johns to the late Josiah and Erma (Atkinson) Pratt and grew up in the Davison area.
On July 13, 1963 he was united in marriage to Connie D. Gauthier in Davison and moved to Fenton. Jim was employed at WJRT channel 12, until 1978, when the came to Elkton and took a position at Huron Casting. Then in 1992, they moved to Drummond Island.
Jim was a member of Light House Christian Church, Drummond Island. He enjoyed being out of door and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being with his grandchildren and playing card and games with them.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; three daughters, Janice Dohring of Elkton, Jane (Kevin) Scherret of Elkton and Jo Ann Morrell of Caseville; thirteen grandchildren, Kayla, Matthew, Jamie, Michael, Ashley, Breanna, Amamda, Kevin, Courtney, Tiffany, Elizabeth, Tyler and Katelynn; two great grandchildren, Brookelyn and Braden.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, February 7, at the Elkton Missionary Church. Rev. Reggie Courless, pastor will officiate with burial by his parents in Elkland Twp. Cemetery, Cass City.
The family will receive friends and family at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Sunday and at the church after 10 AM Monday.
