Joan Reeves Durham

Joan Reeves Durham of Vassar, formerly of Richmond, Kentucky, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her home. Joan was born June 12, 1937 in Richmond, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Joe S. and Bertha V. (Gibson) Reeves. She was united in marriage with Faris Montie Durham on June 20, 1958 in Richmond, Kentucky and he preceded her in death in 1994. Joan had been employed as a tax auditor with the State of Florida for many years. She loved University of Kentucky basketball, spending time with family, reading and travel. Joan is survived by three children, Joseph David Durham and his wife, Julie, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, J. Reeves Poore of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Stacey Wegner and her husband, Robert, of Vassar; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Gibson Christopher and her husband, Samuel. In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
