Joan F. Jocham

Joan F. Jocham of Caro, age 83, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at her daughter's home in Clio. Joan was born October 10, 1933 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Mikolajczek) Jaglowski. She graduated from Grand Rapids East Catholic Central and attended Delta College. Joan was Nutrition Project Director of the Thumb Area Commission on Aging, site manager of the Kingston Senior Meal Site, chairperson of Marlette St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Fall Bazaar, and den mother for Boy Scouts, along with doing various other volunteer work. Left to cherish her memory are eight children and their spouses, Stanley II (Kari) Andrakowicz, Denise (Marty) Benda, Cheryl (Bob) Suda, Elaine Fielder, Laurie Yedinak, Juliane (Leroy) Koglin, Kathleen (Alan) Janke, Maureen (Steven) Hunt; grandchildren, Mary Jo (Kevin) Durkin, Steven and Lauren Benda, Christopher (Tara) Fielder, Jason Gettel and Bradley (Jamie) Gettel, Brittany and Kayleigh Andrakowicz, Ashley, Alexis, Kaitlyn and Kasey Janke, Justin (Brittany) Bosch, Kendra and Braylon Hunt; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Justin "JJ" Bosch, and Joseph Durkin; step-children, Laurence Jocham, John (Mary) Jocham, Sandra Edwards; thirteen step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, John, Joan was also preceded in death by one son, Daniel Andrakowicz; two brothers, Anthony, Jr. and Gerald Jaglowski; one granddaughter, Marsha Fielder; and two sons-in-law, Roger Yedinak and Bob Pennington. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow later in the day at Westlawn Cemetery in North Branch. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held at the church on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Christopher Parish in Caro.
