Joan Sales

Joan Kathryn Sales age 70 years of Caro, passed away at home on Saturday, February 7, 2009 with her family at her side. Joan was born on September 23, 1938 in Caro to Loretta (Romain) and the late Ludy Miklovic and lived in Caro all her life. She married Keith Sales on June 19, 1959 in Caro. Joan was a 1956 graduate of Caro High School. She worked for nine years as a secretary at the Tuscola County Road Commission. Joan enjoyed sewing, crafting, baking, canning, and camping. She is survived by her husband, Keith Sales; a son, Kirk Sales of Bay City; a daughter, Kelly (Nelson) Rhodes of Caro; granddaughter, Amanda Rhodes; her mother, Loretta Miklovic of Caro; brother, Jim (Barb) Miklovic of Caro; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death a infant son; Keith and her father, Ludy Miklovic. A funeral will be held at Collon Funeral Home, Caro on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Michele Hile, officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until time of service. Memorials may be made to the Tuscola County Community Foundation.
