Joann Roose

Joann Roose of Caro, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at United Hospice Residence in Marlette. Joann was born April 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Uhan) Sayers. She was united in marriage with Leslie Roose on July 8, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. Leslie preceded her in death on July 23, 1997. Joann was a member of the Polish American Club, Women's Church Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and Sacred Heart Church Choir. Joann is survived by one son, Paul Roose; one daughter, Tammi Roose; grandchildren, Michelle (George) Fallowfield, Candace Fisher, Clarissa Babcock, Joseph Babcock, Raine Roose, and Ruth Hack; great-grandchildren, Carter Fisher, Koby McCrumb, Jasmyn McCrumb, and Devin Metro; sister-in-law, Wilma Roose; and cousin, Harry Sayers. In addition to her parents and husband, Joann was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindi Roose; daughter-in-law, Louanne Roose; sisters, Helen Sayers and Bernice Britton; brother, Leland Sayers; sister-in-law, Lucy Holmes; brothers-in-law, James, Bob and Charles Roose. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
