Joann M. Wortz

JoAnn M. Wortz of Caro, age 73, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 30, 2020. JoAnn was born May 16, 1947 in Cass City, the daughter of Sylvia (DuRussel) Tait and the late Wayne Tait. She graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1965, later graduated from Great Lakes College in Caro and worked for several years in stenography and title insurance. JoAnn was united in marriage with John Wortz on August 1, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio and the couple cherished their nearly thirty-two years together. She will be remembered as an avid reader and author, science fiction fan, and computer guru. Left to cherish JoAnn's memory are her loving husband, John of Caro; two children, James and Christina; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Sylvia Tait of Caro; three siblings and their spouses, Jean Frappier of Clio, Barbara & Dennis Henry of Manton, Larry & Nancy Tait of Georgia; many nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Tait; daughter, Elizabeth; and brother, JD. In keeping with JoAnn's wishes, cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
