Jody Miklovic

Jody Miklovic of Caro, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 14, 1949 in Bay City, the son of the late August and Ella (Pollak) Miklovic. Jody dedicated his life to educating children, first as a teacher at Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools, where he also coached baseball and was a driver's education instructor, then went on to being a counselor at the Tuscola County Tech Center, and then the elementary school principal at Cass City Public Schools. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren. Jody had a drive for excellence. He was very focused in setting goals and working on them until they were mastered. Jody was clever with words, loved joking with people and possessed a hardy, contagious laugh. He also loved providing food he had grown, hunted or caught for family and friends. Jody is survived by the love of his life, Carole; two children and their spouses, Stefanie & Jason Nadeau of Marquette, Scott & Crystal Miklovic of Caro; four grandchildren, Alex and Oliver Nadeau, Kale and Hayden Miklovic; one sister and her husband, Judy & Ken Dunton of Caro; and a large extended family. In keeping with Jody's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration in honor of Jody will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Caro United Methodist Church. A tribute will be given at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
