Joe Kennedy

Joe Kennedy, age 71, passed away peacefully Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, following a brief illness. Joe was born April 5, 1936 in Caro, the son of the late Gerald Munro Viola Johanna (Timm) Kennedy, and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Caro High School in 1955 and following graduation served in the United States Air Force until 1959. Joe was united in marriage to Marilyn J. Laramie on January 28, 1961 in Caro. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3224. One of Joes great joys was to play the drums with his band, The Initials at the North Grove Inn for over twenty years. Joe will also be remembered as a dedicated and caring family man that loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Marilyn, Joe is survived by two daughters, Jo Lynne (Jim) Stewart of Sobieski, WI and Kimberley Kennedy of Pulaski, WI; four grandchildren, Justin, Jessica “Princess”, Jena “Meister” and Jarrett Stewart; two sisters, Gaye (Dick) McCreedy of Caro and Denise Kennedy of Caro; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Hagadorn of Vassar, Judy Jake David of Vassar, Sue Alex Campbell of Vassar, and Rae Gunsell of Caro and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrna Jo Colling and Dianne Wray.
