John Robert Engleman

John R. Engleman, 79, of Caseville died July 1, 2017 at his home.

John was born June 15, 1938 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Noftz) Engleman. He married Barbara Gaucher in 1962; she preceded him in death in 1996. He sailed the Great Lakes crewing both cargo and passenger ships, including the Bob-Lo Boat Columbia. He moved to Caseville in 1977. He enjoyed model trains and providing a good home for numerous homeless cats and dogs.

He is survived by his sons Greg of Caseville, Kevin of Caseville and Doug (Kelly) of Saginaw; grandchildren Alex, Elizabeth and Seth. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, sisters Patricia and Joan and brother David.

There will be no services. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
