John Michael Gage

John M. Gage, 63, of Bad Axe, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

John was born April 12, 1960 in Bad Axe and attended Bad Axe Schools.  He was a mechanic at Muffler Man in Bad Axe before moving to Texas.  He returned to Michigan in 2022.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and time spent with his family.

John is survived by his wife Nora; children Tara (Michael) Dohning of Bad Axe and Eric (Angel) Gage of Sebewaing; mother Carole Maurer of Tennessee; grandchildren Lindsey, Tristan, Courtney, Logan, Jackson, Christian, Madison, Katie, Emily and Eric; siblings Eric (Danette) Gage of Texas, Kellie (John) Garrett of Tennessee, and Kevin (Amy) Gage of California.  He was preceded in death by his father John and the mother of his children Linda McAlpine.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the cremation.
