John Garrett Gentile

John Garrett Gentile, age 60 of Caseville, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Covenant Hospital-Harrison in Saginaw after a lengthy illness.

John was born February 22, 1947 in Trenton to Hilma (Mylander) and the late Antonio. He grew up in Madison Heights. He was employed at General Motors as a chemist and later at Lionel Trains. He moved to Caseville in 1987. He spent the past several years as his mother’s care-giver in his home. John was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends in his home. Music was John’s life, having played drums in a band for many years.

He is survived by his daughter Antoinette “Tonie” and her husband Barry Hughes of Goleta, California; grandsons Garrett, Clay, and Lance; mother Hilma “Sue” Gentile of Caseville; nephew Andre Gentile of Ohio; and the mother of his daughter, Gloria Beadle of Caseville.

He was preceded in death by his father and brothers Tony and Dino.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 22nd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Fr. Ken Yaroch officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service Wednesday.
