John Heenan

John Heenan, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 11, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw, following a two month illness. He was born January 14, 1937 in Detroit, the son of the late John & Clara (Roberts) Heenan, and spent most of his adult life in the Detroit area. John was united in marriage with the former Sandra A. Burnett in 1974 in Ohio. During their marriage, they moved to Little River, South Carolina for ten years, and came to Caro shortly before Sandra preceded John in death on February 23, 2010. During their time in South Carolina, they were members of the local VFW and American Legion posts. During his free time, John enjoyed playing golf and going to the local casinos. Surviving John are five children and their spouses, Carrie & Bob Volkert of Caro, John Heenan of Chicago, Colleen Heenan & Bob Northrup of Paylo, Christine & John Illyess of Dearborn, Michael Heenan of Riverside, IL; two step daughters and their spouses, Trish & Kevin MacDonald, Tracy & Sean Goodlesky, all of Plymouth; the mother of his children, Arlene Toth of Sheridan; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, John was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Heenan; and one brother, Thomas Heenan.
