John "Jack" Louis Albrant

John “Jack” Louis Albrant of Mayville, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab in Mayville. Jack was born in Cass City, Michigan, on November 2, 1934, to the late Isaac and Maxine (Corkins) Albrant and was a 1953 graduate of Caro High School. As a child, Jack lived on a farm and was raised on hard work, helping around the farm by gardening and doing chores. He excelled in academics and stayed active in sports, even hitchhiking his way home after track practice. Jack is remembered as being a sweet and sensitive man with a gentle spirit and a good sense of humor.

Jack is survived by sister, Ann Priestley; niece and nephews, Greg (Bonnie) Priestley, Mike Priestley, and Karen (Chris) McBride; and great niece, Carrie (Corey) Will and their children Jade and Brody whose company Jack cherished.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Bess, and niece, Jennifer Richards.

In accordance with Jack’s wishes, cremation is to take place. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Fisher Senior Care and Rehab and Heartland Hospice for their kind and loving care of Jack.
