John B. "Bim" Kuhl, age 69, passed away October 16, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. John was born January 1, 1941 in Bay Port, MI to Frederick & Lillian (Dilsworth) Kuhl.
John graduated from Bay Port High School in 1958. He was employed for 37 years at Sebewaing Industries as a Die Setter. He also worked for Commercial Fishing for the past 49 years. John's many interests included fishing, hunting, trapping, and building purple martin houses. He loved his hometown of Bay Port. He loved his family and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Sheryl (Herman). His children: Tammi (John) Pohl of Comstock Park, MI, Scott Kuhl of Gagetown, Jodi (Jim) Hamel of Bay Port, & Cindy (special friend Jim) Kuhl of Stuarts Draft, Virginia. His grandchildren: Bentley, Spencer, Mason, Mallory, & Sawyer Pohlo, Harrison Madison, & Ethan Hamel. His brothers: Richard (Peggy) Kuhl & Warren Kuhl. His sisters: Onnallee Chiotti & Janet Jahr. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, & friends.
John is predeceased by his grandchildren: John Sawyer Pohl & Evan Richard Hamel. His Sisters: Kathryn Gelski, Virginia Kuhl, Betty Wiebeck, & Mary Ann Zelkowski. His Brothers: Fritz & James Kuhl.
Visitation Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 9am-12noon at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. A graveside service will be held at New Bay Port Cemetery around 12:15pm.
