John Paul Reed

John P. Reed, age 60, of Caseville, died suddenly February 28, 2005.

John was born in Detroit on December 17, 1944. He graduated from Laker High School in 1963, then served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. John owned the Caseville Fruit Market for many years, and more recently worked in security at Pioneer Sugar in Sebewaing. He was a member of the Pigeon VFW Post 2236.

John is survived by his children Jennifer (Kevin) Hakes of Delaware, Janice (Tim) Sparkes of Sebewaing, and John J. of Sebewaing; and grandchildren Frankie and Kayla Wedding, Corey, Kanyak, Christopher and Jordan Peyerk, and Trey Sparkes.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Caseville. Burial with military honors will be in Caseville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
