John William Shepherd

John W. Shepherd age 73, of Colfax Twp., died Tuesday evening at Sunny Acers Nursing Center, Bad Axe.

He was born January 8, 1937 to the late James and Bevie (Foster) Shepherd.

John lived in the Warren area most of his life. He had been employed at Hofley Manufacturing in Warren until retiring in 2000. That year he moved to Huron County to be nearer his sister, Mildred living in Berne, and other family.

John enjoyed fishing and working with tools and his hands, and was a wiz at putting large puzzles together.

Surviving are many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Ed Shepherd and two sisters, Mary Turner and Lucille Bieri.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 2 PM Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
