John Dale Watson, age 64, of Caseville died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland after a long illness.
John was born April 7, 1943 to the late John Charles and Margaret Anita (Kimball) Watson in Detroit, where he lived until 1956 when the family moved to Caseville. He graduated from Caseville High School in 1961 and from Central Michigan University in 1966 with a degree in business. In 1966 John assumed operations of Evenheat Kiln Inc. in Caseville, a business his parents had started.
On May 2, 1981 John married Diane Carol Glidden at the Caseville United Methodist Church. Together, they have shared many wonderful years enjoying family, friends, and the many blessings that God has bestowed on them.
John was a member of the Caseville Eagles as well as the former co-owner of the Bella Vista. He enjoyed golfing, vacationing and helping others in his community.
John is survived by his wife Diane; step-daughter Molly and her husband Ralph Ross of Caseville, and step-sons Bill Kelly and his wife Julie of Berkley and Mike Kelly and his wife Kim of Sand Point; and step-grandchildren Jessica and her husband Pat Brannan, Kelly Ross and Quinn and Spencer Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Watson in 2002.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 2nd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Karen Bouverette officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Twp. Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Sunday until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service Monday.
Pall Bearers will be Mike, Bill, Quinn and Spencer Kelly, Ralph Ross, and Cody Quinn.
