Jon Butcher

Jon C. Butcher, age 39, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, following a courageous three year battle with cancer. Jon was born April 10, 1969 in Detroit, the son of Charles & Mary C. (LaPratt) Butcher. He graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School with the class of 1987 and from Michigan State University in 1994. He was united in marriage to the former Robin Jackson on October 14, 1995 in Savannah, Georgia. For the last seven years, Jon was employed by Farm Bureau Insurance as an Agency Manager in Howell. Jon was an active member and Elder with Place of Relief Church in Fowlerville. Jon was a passionate family man that loved spending time with his wife and three boys. He also enjoyed playing golf, boating, rock climbing and snowmobiling. Jon is survived by his wife, Robin Butcher of Webberville; three sons, Mike Takovich living in Florida, Hunter C. and Benjamin Lee Butcher, of Webberville; his parents, Charles & Mary Butcher of Caro; his mother-in-law, Patsy Jackson of Savannah, Georgia; sister, Kimberly Butcher-Wright of Fairgrove; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
