Joseph Edward Flemington of Ypsilanti was born on December 13, 1968 in Detroit. He passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007. Joe attended St. Pauls Lutheran School in Unionville and Cass City High School. He was extremely proud to have served his country in the United States Navy from 1989 to 2000. He was Baptized and Confirmed into the Christian Faith on May 5, 1983 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Unionville. Joe will be missed for his quick wit, his humor, his contagious giggle, his amazing charm and his baby face smile. The family will mostly cherish “the good times” they had with Joey. He is survived by three children Brooke, Joseph “Joey”, and Bayleigh, who were the sunshine of his life; their mother, Michelle (nee Koepf ) Flemington of Haslett; his siblings, Dennis (Sharon) Sweet of Cass City, Kathleen “Kitty Lynn” (Dean) Weisenbach of Hemlock, Elizabeth (Christopher) Brandt of Palmdale, California, Elexia McGowan of Lexington, Kentucky, Richard (Sherry) Flemington of Caro, Melissa (Andrew) Fribley of Ann Arbor, Shiloh (Jerry) Fitzgibbon of Munising; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including special cousin, Robert Lincoln Belleville. He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton W. Flemington and Elizabeth (nee Lincoln). The funeral service will be held at Collon Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cameron Steele of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro officiating. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Joseph Flemington family discretionary fund, c/o of Michelle Flemington.
