Joseph John Hoover

Joseph John Hoover II, 75, of Caseville, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home.

Joseph was born October 28, 1939 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Morrissette) Hoover. He graduated from John Glenn High School, Detroit. He married Betty Jean Karle on June 7, 2002 in Bad Axe.

In 1972 he moved from Detroit to Caseville. He worked at Pigeon Manufacturing as a supervisor from 1972 until 1977 at which time he opened Hoover Auto Parts and Used Car Sales in Caseville, retiring in 2007. After retiring he and his wife opened Hoover’s Haven AFC. He enjoyed hunting, boating, classic cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Betty; children Tracy (Alaina) Hoover of Detroit, Debbie (Dana Lambert) Hoover of Clawson, Catherine (David) Hawthorne of Caseville and Angela (Henry) Lyman of Pigeon; grandchildren Michael and Ashley Hawthorne; and great-granddaughter Olivia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
