On February 1st, 2019, Joseph Dennis Krastes, known mainly as Dennis, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 78.

Dennis was born in Wyandotte, MI on August 11, 1940 to Joseph and Rita (Garant) Krastes. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and served in the Marines. He married Rose Wiederhold on September 9, 1995. He worked as a foreman at Acme Roll in Sebewaing for several years.

Dennis enjoyed fishing, reading western books, and spending time with his many grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Rose; children Angie, Stacy (Michelle), Lisa, Chad, and David. Also by his 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his two brothers and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

A 21-gun salute will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Elkton.
