Joseph R. "Bob" Murday, Jr. of Fairgrove, age 64, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw from complications of a recent stroke. Bob was born August 10, 1956 in Caro, the son of the late Joseph & Mary (Goleb) Murday. He began his working career as a gas station attendant in Fairgrove before spending several years in construction around the area. The majority of Bob's career was spent at the Fairgrove Elevator. He was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan football teams, the Great Lakes Loons, and all things NASCAR. Bob was happiest when he could spend time fishing with family on the Canadian Lakes, salmon fishing on Lake Michigan or deer hunting. Bob is survived by two sisters, Darlene (Keith) Bishop of Mt. Pleasant, Carol Murday of Fairgrove; a niece and nephew, Rhonda (Chris) Lundsted of Mt. Pleasant, Jeremy (Kim) Bishop of Mt. Pleasant; great-nephews and great-niece, Mason and Erin Lundsted, Drew and Chase Bishop. Private family services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Philomena Ofori-Nipaah officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
